Tunnel End Woodland, off Calderbrook Road, Littleborough. OL15 9PG

Enjoying fantastic views towards Summit Quarry and the South Pennine Moors, this emerging woodland is situated above Summit railway tunnel. An upland woodland, the main tree species are oak, rowan and birch with some heather in the open areas. The woodland has developed over a number of years, with the original trees being planted approximately 30 years ago. These trees are now complemented by natural regeneration and further planting.
