Spodden Valley Woodland, off Spod Road, Rochdale. OL12 7EP

Forming part of the valley of the river Spodden, this small woodland is on a former derelict site which was cleared in 2007 and 2008 to create an important green space adjacent to the river. The site is now being planted to create biodiversity interest and including hedging and trees. Key species for the site will be oak, hazel, ash and birch.
